Democracy Survives Another Legislative Session in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY – On the last day of the session, the Missouri Legislature adjourned without passing HJR 43 – a bill designed to end majority rule in Missouri through deceptive and manipulative language. Missouri Jobs with Justice Voter Action released the following statement:

“We’re relieved that direct democracy survived another session and the power remains in the hands of the people,” said Caitlyn Adams, Executive Director of Missouri Jobs with Justice Voter Action. “From Buckner to Bridgeton, Branson to Poplar Bluff, Missourians value our freedoms and the ability to get things done for our communities. We will continue to talk to voters across the state and lift up the issues that matter most to working families.
