MO JwJ Kicks Off Annual ‘Labor in the Pulpits’ Program

Labor in the PulpitMissouri Jobs with Justice is excited to announce the kickoff of its annual Labor in the Pulpits program.

Faith, Labor and Community Leaders are encouraged to become involved in the Labor in the Pulpits, on the Bimah, in the Minbar program for Labor Day Weekend, September 47, 2015.

Jobs with Justice can provide faith communities with excellent materials for the celebration of Labor Day Weekend including prayers, education pieces, reflections, and more for use in worship or education in your congregation. These materials focus on the dignity of labor, the importance of expressing faith in our work lives, and workers’ rights.

This year we have a special emphasis on our national partners, Caring Across Generations, who’s mission is keeping our elders well-cared for in their homes, providing quality homecare for all in need, and the development and training of homecare workers in anticipation of the tremendous need in the coming decade.

As always, Jobs with Justice will highlight the importance of organizing and collective bargaining as a cornerstone of strengthening our communities and creating a voice for workers in their workplace and in their communities.
