Today Jobs with Justice joined partners in the Missouri Medicaid Coalition in various canvasses to educate voters about the 300,000 Missourians who fall in the Medicaid “Gap” and what we can do to fix it. There were 23 canvasses in many regions of the state. Jobs with Justice had volunteers in Kansas City and St. Louis areas, including St. Louis, St. Charles, and Jefferson County. The canvass focused on the real people who fall in the Medicaid Gap, their stories, and how their lives suffer from it. Check out pictures on our Facebook Album, and be sure to follow Missouri JwJ and the Missouri Medicaid Coalition on Twitter for updates.
Today marks the start of a week of action on Medicaid, both in district and in the state Capitol. Jobs with Justice and the Missouri Medicaid Coalition will take the action from the streets today to the Capitol on Wednesday, February 4, where we will share the stories of Missourians in the Medicaid Gap.
You can join us in Festus, MO for a Public Meeting on Medicaid Expansion at the Disability Resource Association, 130 Brandon Wallace Way, Festus, MO, Saturday, February 7, 10am – 12pm.
