WE MAKE MISSOURI: Be A Democracy Defender

I pledge to:

Use my power to protect our democracy, take care of my neighbors, and support fellow Missourians whether that be by protesting, demanding more of our elected officials, or keeping each other safe. I make this pledge, to counter forces of bigotry, racism, and hate nationally and locally.

We have a clear vision for a better future: by coming together, we can make sure that all of us — no matter our race, income, or zip code — have all we need to thrive. By coming together, the will of people will win the day.

Sign this petition to get plugged into existing work happening across our state, led by Missourians, for Missourians. We can keep each other safe. We choose us.

By signing this pledge, I pledge to use my power to protect our democracy, take care of my neighbors, and support fellow Missourians by voting, protesting, plugging in to the movement, or keeping each other safe. I make this pledge, to counter forces of bigotry, racism, and hate nationally and locally. We have a clear vision for a better future: by coming together, we can make sure that all of us — no matter our race, income, or zip code — have all we need to thrive. By coming together, the will of people will win the day.

This year has tested us like never before. But just as we have come together for each other in the past, we will continue to come together and care for each other. We have proven time and time again that the power of the people is greater than the people in power – and we’re not going back. We will not be distracted or divided by those at the top who want to hoard power, profits, and resources away from our communities. We will continue to stand and fight together to create a Missouri where we have an economy and democracy that works for all of us – no exceptions.

Be it protecting the initiative petition process, protecting our minimum wage increases, pushing toward a more transparent and inclusive democracy – I’ll be there!

Across our country, we are at a historical moment, preceded by centuries of people-led movements. Progress was made in those early battles because people stuck together and protected one another. We can do the same and we can win. We can keep each other safe. We choose us.
