On Tuesday, January 25th, five of the more than two dozen attacks on the initiative petition process were heard in committee. These power grabs block the progress that our families and communities are calling for.

Watch as Bridget Hughes – a movement leader and fast food worker – breaks down how ballot initiatives have improved her family’s life – and why she’s fighting to protect our right to the initiative petition.

Bridget said it best: “Some politicians want to make it harder to support each other through the ballot initiative process. We need to keep the power in our hands.”

Keep the power in our hands!

Workers don’t need politicians taking our power or rigging the rules for themselves. Our families need higher wages, paid time off, health care, and real support from our leaders.
