| Missouri made a decade-long commitment a reality – raising the minimum wage to $15 and guaranteeing earned paid sick time for Missouri workers. Over 18 months ago, MOJwJ, workers, and our partner groups formulated a winning plan to get closer to a Missouri where every worker has a voice, every family has support, and every community has what they need to thrive. Over 1,000 grassroots volunteers worked tirelessly in the heat, rain, and cold– at county fairs, parades, outside libraries and polling places, gathering signatures and knocking on thousands of doors, talking to voters about our vision of an economy and a democracy that works for all of us. |

| We’re also celebrating a huge step forward with the passage of Amendment 3, a victory that reaffirms the right to reproductive freedom in Missouri. Passing Proposition A and Amendment 3 shows what happens when workers come together to create change. This is a monumental achievement made possible by the work we do together—across race, class, religion, and gender. It’s about solidarity. We didn’t wait for elected officials to raise our wages, give us sick time and restore our reproductive freedom. We came together with a plan and made it happen. Although we all still feel some uncertainty as we wait for the election results across Missouri and across the country to shake out, the path is clear and the mission remains unchanged — we want to build power among working families. This work has always been about people, not politicians. Let’s keep building a Missouri that supports and respects every worker—together. |
