Last month, thousands of Columbia residents let our leaders know how we want them to invest in our communities.

We spoke out, and the survey results show what we already knew: we want ARPA funds to help our communities and those most impacted by this pandemic!

According to the survey, the top priorities for Columbia’s ARPA spending include:

👉Funding to help community members access health services, including mental health

👉Investments in affordable housing

👉Premium Pay for workers

👉Funding Services for Homeless Residents

👉Assistance to Households (Food, Utility, Rental, or Cash Assistance)

From the Neighborhood Pledge to our deep canvassing efforts, we have been listening to our neighbors from the beginning. This is a great step toward making a Columbia that works for all of us – not just greedy corporations and developers.

To ensure our leaders listen to our needs, we must continue to talk with our neighbors and hold our leaders accountable.
