Building on our fight to pass local preference in Springfield, we stood in solidarity with IBEW Local 453 to demand Missouri State University contract with businesses that are committed to workers in Springfield and Southwest Missouri! Together we were able to stop a bad-acting business from coming in, bringing workers from out of the area, and extracting more wages from our community. Labor leaders, community leaders, activists, students, and faith leaders came together to defeat this attempt.
